We asked Ph.D.Youngsang Son, the product development manager of the clean beauty brand “Save ME,” which began sales in spring of 2021, about the origins of this project.

The “Save ME Clean Beauty Project” originally started with a focus on vitamins. The word “vitamin” comes from the Latin “vita” (life) + “amine” (an amine compound containing nitrogen), and it is an essential component for maintaining life.
Vitamins have been known since ancient times as substances needed by living organisms on Earth. Their natural origin and high effectiveness are widely recognized. However, at the same time, they are known to have low stability, making it very difficult to deliver them effectively to the body.
In the course of research and development to find a way to stabilize and effectively deliver vitamins to the body, we succeeded in creating “Amino Clay.”
Amino Clay, with its plate-like structure, allows for the stable, uniform, and continuous delivery of various active ingredients, including vitamins, to our bodies in a fresh state. It is also a substance that dissolves in water and naturally biodegrades, making it truly “gentle to both people and the Earth.”
By utilizing this world-first nanotechnology material, “Amino Clay,” it has become possible to produce products that are more effective and do not contain ingredients that place a burden on the environment or cause irritation.
For these reasons, we believe that Amino Clay has enormous potential. It will not only be a pioneering ingredient in skincare and haircare products but also in a wide range of lifestyle products. We are confident it will be at the forefront of the times.
In order for humans to coexist with the Earth, “Save ME” promises to continue creating products that are gentle on both people and the Earth as a Clean Beauty brand.
Our brand concept, “Beauty Circulates,” contains many meanings.
Just as we return what we receive from the Earth back to the Earth, everything is in a constant cycle. This is why we started this project with the hope of delivering products that bring about a better cycle for both people and the Earth.
